FULL-TIME
The Early Learning and Child Care Diploma is the second year of a two-year program that prepares you to work in child care settings with young children and families as a frontline caregiver or as a supervisor. Completion of the diploma program qualifies you to apply for Child Care Supervisor certification with Alberta Children’s Services.
Ninety-five per cent of graduates of this program find work in their field.
Note 1: This program is also offered part-time, by audio conferencing, and online.
Note 2 : This program has the same course material in 3 credit courses OR in 3 1-credit courses.
Note 3: This program is offered in a variety of delivery options which include full-time delivery, of the 3 credit courses, part-time delivery evenings and weekends of the 3 credit courses, audio conferencing delivery, online delivery of the 1 credit courses, print-based home study in 1 credit courses, and workshop delivery .

• Successful completion of a recognized Early Learning and Child Care certificate or equivalent program

Pre-Program Requirements
The criteria listed above must be completed prior to the first day of classes:
• Current Police Information Check (PIC) with vulnerable sector search
Note: Students who have not submitted their documents by the start of the program will have their Letter of Admission withdrawn.
