Adult Literacy Volunteer Program

Open the doors to knowledge and skills by helping an adult student improve their reading, writing and basic math skills. Work one-on-one with an adult in one of the Bow Valley College adult literacy programs:

Lifeline to Literacy, ABLE, SARAW/SAM, and Intermediate Literacy. There are opportunities to work in classroom settings with a facilitator or individually
with a single student.

In SARAW/SAM and Intermediate Literacy programs you work one-on-one with a literacy student. The time commitment is approximately three hours
per week. Training and ongoing support is provided. If you’d like to become a volunteer tutor, call Carol McCullough at 403-410-1525.

For SARAW/SAM, call Belle Auld at 403-410-1503.
